This workflow covers turning on SDK logging, running a log through the comparator tool, and reading what the results mean. Use it before you send a certification test result to your Nayax integrator, or whenever you are debugging a Marshall integration.

What the Log Trace Comparator is

The Marshall Log Trace Comparator is an automated log-comparison tool for the Marshall SDK and firmware protocol. It reads a log file, or an Excel certification workbook, and runs it through the same nine checkpoints Nayax uses when reviewing your certification tests. For every checkpoint that fails or needs a look, it shows a suggested fix and a link to the page that explains it. The checkpoints come from real passing and failing logs, collected across all three SDK languages: C, C#, and Java. Everything runs in your browser, so your log files never leave your machine.

What it does not do

The tool is a fast first pass. It does not replace your own judgment, and it does not decide whether your integration passes certification. Your Nayax integrator does that. A warning is also not the same as a bug. Some tests are designed to produce one: a 24-hour idle test, a session timeout, and a stress test all report timing failures that are the test working as intended. Read the test name before you act on a result.
